He didn't stay in long...
They played Vineyard's stacked team. (Vineyard is one of the other 4 little leagues in the city, and they ALWAYS have a stacked team.)
They were tied at 5 until the bottom of the 7th inning, when our pitcher had some control issues and our shortstop had a brain fade (Jonathan was catching then). Five runs scored in that half inning.

Well, another last inning fade out last night. When Jonathan left the mound at the end of the 4th, they were tied 4-4. The last pitcher allowed two runs, and we ran out of time before we got our last at-bats.
It was 41 degrees when we pulled into Eric's parents' house last night (and it was 39 on the top of the mountain a few miles before). We're using their house as a hotel on our way to San Jose to pick up an engine, some parts, and a donor car for the racecar.

Jonathan has a bye week. He doesn't play until next Saturday, but he has an hour of batting practice at the coach's batting cage on Wednesday.
I just watched the UT/South Carolina game today. Funny how the fans weren't booing or throwing things on the field when the two LAME pass interference calls were made AGAINST Tennessee...but ANY day you beat Steve Spurrier is a VERY GOOD day.
